The challenge

This project was a total brand overhaul for People Matters HR, the northwest’s best outsourced HR business, as they had been operating with a rather dated brand identity for nearly 8 years. People Matters HR provide a superb service that is backed by a second-to-none employment law knowledge and people, the current brand looked a bit cheap and was undermining their brand value. This was having a damaging effect on any new business leads and organic enquiries via their website.

The approach

A key part of their previous brand was the ‘tweeples’, little yellow figures. PMHR wanted to try and hold on to a sense of this. We presented a number of concepts, but the preferred direction was one that enabled PMHR to monogram or badge everything with a memorable design that worked with the main logotype and on its own for social media. This was underpinned by a positioning statement, ‘Outsourced HR to suit all shapes and sizes of business.’ This statement helped form the bedrock of the brand style through literature, exhibition graphics, merchandising and their website.

The results

The rebrand was launched in January at a seminar held by PMHR at Bury Football Club to over 30 businesses. Since then, People Matters HR have experienced significant business growth, as a result of inbound enquiries from their new website.
