Hultons Landscapes Brochure

High end coffee table brand brochure designed to inspire.

The challenge

Established in 1968 Hultons were a RHS award winning provider of fully integrated landscaping solutions from design concepts to landscape construction and grounds
maintenance projects. At the time of commissioning this project, they aware they needed to improve their marketing collateral to leverage more brand value when approaching both high net worth private individuals, and business clients.

Other than a recently redone logo, they didn’t have much of a brand identity to work with, meaning all assets, including their existing brochure looked cluttered, used stock images, and felt poor value for the level of reputation and service they provided.

The challenge was to create a high end coffee table brand brochure that would inspire customers to get in touch.

The approach

First and foremost, we needed photograph a collection of projects and contracts that Hulton Landscapes had. 4 days were spent travelling round the North West of England, from Cheshire to Bolton, Manchester to Liverpool, shooting a range of locations that included Altrincham Grammar School, Media City, Moorhall Restaurant, Edgehill University, and a brand new Aldi Distribution Centre.

The concept was simple. Hulton Landscapes provided three types of services which we brought to life with Create, Build, Nurture to tell the story of their services:

  • Create – design concepts for private houses and businesses.
  • Build – landscape construction.
  • Nurture – garden and grounds maintenance.

The brand style was evolved to be more contemporary as well, pairing the recently released ‘serif Calendas Plus’ with the classic ‘sans serif Unica’ for the typography.

The results

The finished brochure was 297mm square, printed on 100% recycled uncoated paper. It featured project case studies and superb full page images to have the impact you would want from a coffee table brochure. The design also allowed it to be scaled down, and printed at 210mm square, so it could be used as an executive summary for tenders.

Just a quick note to say that we are blown away with the quality of design work and photography from Think. The photographs look great on the website and in the new brochure.
