The Brief
In 2016, we partnered with Rossvale Consulting, a newly launched building consultancy founded by Andy Rawsthorne. Andy had already built up years of experience working with some of the biggest names in the industry. With that knowledge behind him, he decided the time was right to launch his own business. He needed a brand and website that would give his new business the credibility of an established firm while still feeling fresh and approachable.
Brand identity design
We started with the logo. Using Rossvale’s initials, we built a clever monogram inspired by planning and technical drawings (a little nod to Andy’s roots in quantity surveying and project management). The result was a simple but striking mark that feels professional without being overly corporate. It’s clean, modern and instantly says, “this is a business built on expertise.”
Website design
With the identity in place, we designed a responsive WordPress website that was straightforward to use and easy to update. We designed the site to be light and uncluttered, using ample white space to let the services, testimonials and case studies shine through. The focus was on clarity, helping potential clients quickly see what Rossvale does. It also highlighted why clients could trust them to deliver consistently.
Making an impact
For any new consultancy, first impressions count. This combination of a strong visual identity and a clean, professional website gave Rossvale Consulting the confidence to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with much larger firms. It’s a great example of how smart design can give sole traders and start-ups the polish they need to grow quickly. At the same time, they can maintain their personal touch.
