We produced this website for Connect Plus Services. The company responsible for managing and maintaining the M25 for Highways England. This is an older website design project (2014) but it goes to show that great design and function shouldn’t date.
Part of a larger body of work which involved evolving the brand identity to something that was much appropriate, designing and writing their brand guidelines and then finally, we were briefed to bring their web presence up-to-date with a mobile friendly responsive website. So we set about designing a WordPress website that used the latest HTML5 features and best web practice methods that they could keep updated themselves through the news section and a project story section.
An important element of designing the brand guidelines was selecting a typeface that was also reader friendly when utilised online.
Developing the brand further from the print based elements, we set about creating a series of icons to assist with navigation and topics by using the recognisable road sign design style. This design feature improved the user experience easily helps them navigate through the various topics and sections.
The overall website design was complemented by strong photography (which had a ‘tilt and shift’ effect added to it), some eye catching statistics with the latest HTML5 animations. These various aspects were all used to bring Connect Plus Services business and news to life in a website that works incredibly well, both on desktop and mobile devices.
We are now in our 4th year of working with Connect Plus Services and 2018 is looking like it will be our busiest year ever with them and we look forward to working with such a design conscious client.
We also host it on one of our dedicated servers.
